1. Houston Astros +270 (Last week: +340)
Even though the Houston Astros sit in the second wild-card spot in the American League, they’ve now leapfrogged the Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays as the odds-on favorites to win the American League. The Astros have seen their Pennant odds bet down from +340 to +270 over the last week.
2. Texas Rangers +300 (Last week: +350)
Eight straight victories for the Texas Rangers have helped them extend their leap atop the AL West to three games over the Astros. As the hottest team in the American League, the Rangers have seen their odds of winning the Pennant bet down from +350 to +300, where they own the second-shortest.

3. Tampa Bay Rays +480 (Last week: +320)
With Tampa Bay Rays top-of-the-rotation arm Shane McClanahan deemed unlikely to pitch again this season, that’s evidently had a sizeable effect on their Pennant odds. The Rays have won seven of their last ten games but have seen their American League odds drop from +320 to +480.
4. Baltimore Orioles +550 (Last week: +650)
It’s hard not to be impressed with the Baltimore Orioles this season. They were the second team in the big leagues to reach 70 wins and continue owning the top spot in the AL East. With seven wins over their last ten games, the O’s Pennant odds have risen from +650 to +550.
5. Toronto Blue Jays +850 (Last week: +900)
The Toronto Blue Jays have won four of their last five games and sit 13 games above .500. Pitching continues to be a major strength for this ball club, who’ve seen their American League odds get bet down from +900 to +850 over the last week.
6. Minnesota Twins +1000 (Last week: +1200)
With the Minnesota Twins coming out on top in six of their last ten games, they’ve created some breathing room atop the AL Central. The Twins’ odds of winning the American League have risen from +1200 to +1000.
7. Seattle Mariners +1700 (Last week: +2800)
If you’re looking for one of the hottest teams in MLB, the Seattle Mariners are right there. The M’s have won six in a row and eight of their last ten, which now has them just two games back of the final playoff spot in the American League. As a result, Seattle has been bet down from +2800 to +1700.
8. New York Yankees +4500 (Last week: +2100)
The New York Yankees have lost six of their last ten games and remain 4.5 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays for the final wild-card spot in the AL. It’s gloomy at best for the Bronx Bombers right now, who’ve seen their AL odds drop again from +2100 to +4500.
9. Boston Red Sox +5500 (Last week: +3000)
A weekend sweep at the hands of the Blue Jays did no favors to the Boston Red Sox, who now sit five games back in the American League wild-card race. The Red Sox American League odds have dropped over the last week from +3000 to +5500.
10. Cleveland Guardians +10000 (Last week: +3500)
With only three wins over their last ten games, the Cleveland Guardians have fallen 4.5 games behind the Twins in the AL Central. With the Guardians struggling to score runs, their odds to win the Pennant have dropped substantially from +3500 to +10000.
