As far back as he can remember, Danny always wanted to be a gambler… Some of his best childhood memories are of going to Bat Day at Shea, holding up a Dr. K sign every time the opposing team had two strikes (apologies to those who sat behind him), and cheering in the Meadowlands, wearing a green No. 24 jersey while Freeman McNeil ran for over 200 yards on the Buffalo Bills. By the time Danny was in high school, he was the kid with the football parlay cards (aka “sheets”) to pass around on Mondays and collect tickets on Fridays. He loves sports. And he loves gambling. And boy, does Danny LOVE sports gambling, which is why taking on the Editor-In-Chief role at SportsGrid was a perfect fit as he approaches over 20 years in sports media. AKA, Dan the B1G Man, Danny is a Big Ten football betting expert who is excited about Rick Pitino taking over at his alma mater, St. John’s University.
