Leg 1: Magic Moneyline +140
We all knew the Orlando Magic were outclassed in their first-round matchup versus the Boston Celtics. Still, the Magic have kept things closer than many expected. With the series shifting back to Orlando for Game 3, the Magic have their best chance of securing a win and keeping the series close.
Orlando has been on the rise since the latter stages of the regular season. Including their three playoff games, the Magic are 6-3 straight up and against the spread over their last nine. Within that sample, there are three home games. Orlando is 3-0 in all those contests while holding opponents to an average of 94.3 points per game.
The Celtics are also poised for an offensive letdown. They’ve totaled 212 points per game despite shooting just 45.0% in those contests. More concerningly, they went just 12-for-37 from distance in Game 2, a benchmark that should remain diminished as they embark on their first-round playoff game.
The Magic are at their best in Orlando. At +140, they are worth betting to get in the win column and pull closer to leveling their series against the Celtics.

Where to Watch Los Angeles Lakers vs Minnesota Timberwolves
- Arena: Target Center
- Location: Minneapolis, MN
- Where to Watch: ESPN, FDSMN
- Time: 9:30 p.m. ET
- Spread: MIN -3.5 | Total: 207.5
- Moneyline: MIN -160 | LAL +135

Leg 2: LAL-MIN Over 207.5
Last time out, the Los Angeles Lakers pulled even in their series versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, they face a more daunting task in taking the lead, now that the series heads back to Minneapolis for Game 3. Both teams have had their moments offensively, but we expect both to shine on Friday night.
The Lakers are operating below their usual offensive standards. They shot just 39.8% in the series opener, following up with an improved 45.3% mark in Game 2. Altogether, the Lakers have recorded 189 points through the series’ first two games, significantly below their usual standard. LA is at its best when playing with tempo. We expect them to come out swinging in Game 2.
Minnesota isn’t known for playing with pace, but they speed things up at home. Their possessions and shot attempts increase at the Target Center, playing toward more high-scoring games. Over their last 12 home games, the T-Wolves have exceeded the total in all but three of those contests. The average total throughout that sample is 235.6.
After an extended stretch of low-scoring games, we saw totals creep up last night. That general trend plays into what we’ve seen from the Timberwolves at home. The over is our favorite play in this one.
2025 NBA Playoffs Friday’s Parlay Picks
- Magic Moneyline +140
- LAL-MIN Over 207.5
Tonight, we are making a play on the Magic to pull off the outright upset, and the Lakers and Timberwolves to go over the total. Parlaying these picks could yield bettors a potential return of +360.
