Lakers vs Timberwolves Friday Same Game Parlay | Best Bets Today

John Canady

Host · Writer

On Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers hit the road for a showdown against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Los Angeles evened the series at 1-1 with a win on Tuesday night and heads to Minnesota hoping to retake homecourt advantage. Expect a dogfight between both teams in this matchup.

Nonetheless, here’s a look at a same game parlay that could place you on the winning side of this matchup.

Lakers ML +136

  • The Lakers looked entirely outmatched in Game 1, getting steamrolled on their home floor. However, JJ Redick and his staff made the much-needed adjustments for Tuesday’s matchup to help his squad even this series.
  • With more adjustments expected on Friday, I like the odds that an elite basketball mind like Redick can be ahead of the curve and put his team in a position to set the tone.
  • The Lakers lost their last game in Minnesota by 10 points, but they were also without LeBron James. This time, I can see James putting together a playoff performance from the past to give his squad the 2-1 lead.

Luka Doncic OVER 31.5 Points +104

  • Through the first two games in the series, Luka Doncic has proven to be a tall task for Minnesota to slow down, averaging 34 points per game.
  • Doncic remained aggressive in Game 2 despite shooting 25% from three on eight shots. Considering his willingness to shoot himself out of a slump and find his way to the free throw line, I like the chance he can finish with at least 32 points again tonight.
  • On the road, Doncic tends to rise to the occasion to silence the away fans. I expect him to put together a big performance on Friday.

Naz Reid to Score 15+ Points +176

  • Naz Reid started this series with a bang, proving to be a difference-maker off the bench for the Timberwolves with 23 points and six threes.
  • In Game 2, the LSU product didn’t have quite the same impact, but it was primarily due to three early fouls that limited his time on the court.
  • Back at home, I can see Reid giving Minnesota big minutes off the bench tonight, feeding into the crowd’s energy, especially if the Lakers slack off on him defensively at any point.
