The Maryland Terrapins were humbled as -3.5 favorites earlier in the week, dropping a 58-55 decision to the Michigan State Spartans. Now, the Penn State Nittany Lions can make it two losses in a row as they look to embrace the role of spoiler down the stretch. Maryland struggles outside its friendly confines, going 3-5 as the visitors this year. Another loss appears inevitable at the Bryce Jordan Center.

The Kansas Jayhawks have gotten by on strong defensive efforts this season, and that's precisely what they'll need if they hope to get past the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday. If Kansas can make it three of four, there's a good chance the Jayhawks leave with the win.

Moreover, they could be looking straight past the Cincinnati Bearcats and ahead to Monday's marquee showdown versus the Kansas Jayhawks. If Cincinnati can match Houston's defensive intensity, they could do the unthinkable and knock off the Cougars at home.
