The Kansas City Chiefs' position in our rankings comes with a caveat -- we're only considering the Chiefs without the added help from the officials. Kansas City again benefitted from a few curious calls against the Houston Texans, scraping out a win on ref-assisted scoring drives.
Objectively, the Chiefs were the worst team in their matchup with the Texans. KC managed just 212 yards of total offense, looking uninspired with their rushing or passing attacks. Moreover, they were out-gained by 124 yards, allowing Houston to dictate possession and move the ball with relative ease.
As usual, the Chiefs are near the top of the Super Bowl futures board. However, their more modest odds in the AFC Championship Game, currently listed as -1.5 chalk, reflect the lack of confidence in the AFC West winners.
